Healing Attachment Trauma and other Trauma in Young People's Residential Support
Loveguard Ltd invested five years in extensive research, collaborating with our consultants, dedicating two of those years to exploring various locations across Devon. Our careful consideration led us to Cullompton, a well-suited locale for supported accommodation. Positioned in the heart of Mid Devon’s M5 corridor at Junction 28, Cullompton offers excellent accessibility. Only 6 miles from Tiverton, 13 miles from Exeter, and 19 miles from Taunton, the town provides a strategic and central hub.
Cullompton itself is steeped in history, having been occupied since Roman times and later by the Anglo-Saxon King ‘Alfred the Great’. The town's economy historically prospered from its wool and cloth trade, adding a unique character to its heritage. Situated on 32 acres of trees and fields, our property, Station House, provides residents with direct access to nature, avoiding roads. Nearby playing fields offer recreational amenities, including a park and a transitions skate-park for BMX, scooter, and skateboard enthusiasts. Additionally, Cullompton is home to the Culm Valley Sports Centre, featuring squash courts, a sports hall, fitness studio, and more. This facility provides an excellent opportunity for residents to engage in various physical activities and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The town is situated in a narrow geological corridor with the lowest concentrations of radon in the UK, minimizing potential health risks associated with this naturally occurring gas. Our property is expected to have negligible exposure.
Convenience is a key feature of Cullompton, with a minute’s walk to Cullompton Tesco Superstore and the High Street. Essential services such as dental surgery, opticians, primary and secondary schools, restaurants, various shops, parks, and play areas are within walking distance. Emergency services including the Fire Station, Police station, and GP Surgery are close by, and the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital is less than a 25-minute drive down the M5 (14 miles).
